“Heating the body to a state of mild hyperthermia created an antidepressant effect in people with major depressive disorder, according to a recent study. Raising participants’ core body temperature to 38.5°C significantly reduced depressive symptoms within 1 week of the intervention, and the effect was sustained for several weeks.”
