Change. The nature of which reminds me of the lyrics from the mid-1980’s song by Bruce Hornsby & The Range. The song called…..”The way it is”. “That’s just the way it is. Some things will never change.”Perhaps the most important line in the song is…..”but don’t you believe them”.

Often, optimism is the position taken by the realist, not the dreamer.

Often pessimism is the position taken by the one that’s out of touch with reality.

Positive change is an outcome of growth. Some people grow. Some people are stuck where they are. Some people grow without intending to. Some intentionally pursue it aggressively. Some intentionally avoid it. Many people grow in many areas of their life. Many growth oriented people have one area in particular where they are stuck and not really pursuing forward movement.

Those that experience drama and trauma early in life can come to view the pursuit of growth as too touchy feely for them. Those that experience drama and trauma early in life can come to view the pursuit of growth as a basic necessity like oxygen and water.

Growth is a tool to advance oneself in life. Growth is a state of being you’re in at a point in time. Growth is a destination. Growth is a noun, a verb, and an adjective. Growth is a “spiritual beings on a human journey” type thing.Growth is arguably the purpose of life.
