McKenzie Method, also known as MDT is –the– most effective and researched method of resolving back & neck pain.
In terms of research base and efficacy, compared to chiropractic, surgery, and traditional physical therapy, McKenzie Method is superior to all other approaches to back and neck pain.
Aside from being a treatment approach, aside from being a prevention approach, its also -the- best diagnostic approach. Its also used to separate those that can and/or will respond and get better from those that will need some other type of treatment.

Some things to avoid that tend not to get avoided……
— Avoid the dysfunctional marriage of diagnosis with prognosis.
— Avoid drawing conclusions from MRI’s and other scans claiming to show a “bone on bone” degenerative situation. People who have no pain produce similar scans. Scans are all but meaningless.
— Avoid the faulty assumption that all physical therapy is the same, and thus the statement “I tried physical therapy and it didn’t work”. Faulty assumptions are the mother of all screwups.
— Avoid allowing frustration or pain to make medical decisions on your behalf, that can’t be undone.
