In the early months of this year, to some degree I’ve come full circle, back to similar workouts that were in the training program in the early 1990’s  when this all began, as it appears that at that time I likely had the physiological concepts right in the workout design, but was –very– seriously lacking in the areas of rest days between the very high intensity workouts, lacking in the hills course for the road workouts instead of insisting on flat courses, lacking in the frequency of range of motion [ROM’s] sessions, and lacking in a focus on protein consumption instead of a fixation on carbos.
