High School All-American sprinter and long jumper.
In his senior year at Fort Hunt high school, his indoor national rankings
— #1 in the nation, 60 yard dash
— #1 in the nation, 300 yard dash
— #7 in the nation, triple jump
Boys track team, 1978 Virginia State Champions.
At the end of his senior season he ran for a local all-star team [D.C. Striders track club] with fellow Ft. Hunt’er Rocky Belk. They tied the National High School Record for the sprint medley relay.
In college Marc had an early season top 20 World Ranking at 200m.
